Overview: In the tutorial we will be fixing an error that you might encounter when using the Outlook Plugin on Outlook 2010. This error might be encountered on other versions, so go ahead and try the resolution, but be aware that you might need to contact support, at firstname.lastname@example.org if this does not work for you.
Problem: When you start Outlook, you get a message 'Outlook experienced a serious problem with the 'Delivery Trust Outlook Plug-in'. If you have seen this message multiple times, you should disable this add-in and check to see if an update is available. Do you want to disable this add-in?'
Resolution: Allow the disable, then manually re-enable. This will set off a trigger that will stop this error from coming up in the future.
- When it prompts if to disable the ‘Delivery Trust Outlook Plug-in’, click Yes.
- In Outlook, click File.
- Go into the Options menu.
- Go to Add-in tabs.
- At the bottom of the page, to the right of 'Manage,' click on the arrow and select ‘Disabled Items’ from the drop down list.
- click ‘Go…’ button.
- From the ‘Disabled Items’ box, select the ‘Delivery Trust Outlook Plug-in.'
- Click ‘Enable’ button.
- Restart Outlook.
Result: Now, there should be no prompt to disable 'Delivery Trust Outlook Plug-in.'
