Composing a message in Outlook with the Outlook Add-in installed is the same as it would be without it installed. The difference will be in how the email is sent and the addition of the custom Identillect Authentication Choices and Security Controls that allow the sender to limit how the recipient can access and interact with the email. As long as the protection mode is turned on, the email will still be encrypted without choosing an authentication choice as they are additional optional layers of security.
Instructions
1. Click the New button at the top left of the Outlook page
2. Click on the toggle switch for Delivery Trust® Protection
If it does not automatically appear, click on Apps then Delivery Trust
3. Add the desired Recipients, Subject and the Body for the email (Cc and Bcc as necessary)
4. Apply desired Authentication Choices, Security Controls and add any attachments using the Outlook attachment icon as needed. When finished, you can send the secure email by clicking on Send.
