The Secure Scan feature in the Outlook Add-in is for performing a pre-scan of the email for any potentially sensitive information (ie. Social Security Numbers, Credit Card Numbers, etc...). If found the Add-in will warn you when you click the regular send button and give you the opportunity to change this information. This feature can be turned on or off using the following instructions.
